Avast 6 free version has got new Additional Protection which includes Auto Sandbox, Web Rep and Site Blocking. Let us see these features in brief :
Auto Sandbox : If you execute any suspicious program, then Avast runs it in a sandbox, so that no harm is done to your operating system and your files. I think this is a great addition to Avast’s Arsenal and that too for free!
Web Rep : Web Rep, is similar to Mcafee Siteadvisor, WOT etc and Avast was late to this area. Web Rep is based on community ratings just like WOT but much user friendly, as you can choose the site’s category from the list and then choose your rating on the slider and then vote. But, it’ll be useful only when the community becomes huge like WOT. Web Rep works with latest Firefox and IE betas too and it didn’t slowed them down.
